Lassi is a buttermilk or yogurt drink that is served salty or sweet and is essentially like a smoothie. For this sweet lassi recipe I took my mom's suggestion and added water instead of milk and so glad I did because the lassi ended up being light and refreshing. Mango lassi's are perfect to drink for breakfast, as a snack, or after dinner.
Sweet Lassi Ingredients
2/3 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup plain yogurt
1 1/2 cups frozen mango pieces
6 cubes of ice
ground cardamom for garnish
Combine all the ingredients (except the cardamom) in a blender and mix (or crush).
Pour immediately into glasses and serve.
This recipe makes about two servings.
